Hi! My name is Megan Frohling, and I’m so excited to be teaching ELL at Lovejoy! I love watching the kids learn and grow throughout the school year.
I graduated from William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa and began my teaching career with DMPS as a reading/math interventionist in 2015.
My husband and I have 5 children in total, 4 boys and 1 girl ranging in ages from 4-14 years old. We love to travel, spend time outside, and watch movies together. I am looking forward to another great year!

Hey there Cruisers!
I am one of three ELL teachers here at Lovejoy. I LOVE what I do and feel so lucky to work with the teachers and students here. I have been teaching ELL at Lovejoy since 2015. It is what I did when I first started with the Des Moines Public Schools clear back in 1997! I taught ELL for ten years at Willard Elementary, but then felt the calling to become a classroom teacher, which is what brought me to Lovejoy. I switched back and forth between teaching 2nd and 3rd grade for six years and really missed ELL. ELL is truly where my heart is, and I am so happy to be teaching it again!

I began my teaching career in 2011 with Des Moines Public Schools. Throughout my career I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, ELL and Intervention. I have my Masters of Education in Teacher Leadership, as well as endorsements in Reading, Social Studies and English as a Second Language. I love coming to school every day to see students and help them make growth both socially and academically.
