Lovejoy Elementary students hugged their new books close at a Book Buddies giveaway at their school in October. The Molina Foundation and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach worked together to provide about 400 new books at no cost to students. 2015 – 2016 School Supply List – Updated
Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, this school will be offering school choice for the 2015-16 school year. This is required by NCLB of schools “in need of improvement.” Click the headline for more information and to download a School Choice request form. All forms are due no later than July 1. Late forms will not be accepted.
DMPS will again offer breakfast and lunch over the summer months to children 18 and younger. The number of sites has grown, and so have the number of meals served. Last summer, DMPS staff fed children 28,722 breakfasts and 79,698 lunches. DMPS has sponsored a summer meal program for more than 30 years.
